Well, I went to Cape Cod on Tuesday, as you can tell from the photos I put in. It was supposed to be for research for a paper for my Ocean Environments class, but my professor told me I sent him an email too late, so I had to do a normal research paper (as in online research instead of in the field), which is actually good. I get to do South American Giant Otters, which totally fascinate me for some weird-ass reason.

Also. As some of you know, my family and I own 4 chickens, and used to own 1 rooster. Until Tuesday morning. Thanks to the old asshole neighbors, we had to give him to my aunt who lives on an acre of land about an hour away. It's a long story, but here's a summary:
Baba Yaga is a rooster. So naturally, he crows. Unlike most roosters, he crows a total of about 5 times A DAY. Which barely qualifies him as a real rooster. Plus, he was basically as nice as they get. We couldn't pet him or anything, but then again, we can only actually pet 1 chicken. It's sort of freaky actually...
Anyway back to my summary. He's a nice, quiet, and pretty rooster. They took it into their heads that he's mean and loud. Not sure how they figured either, since I don't think they've ever been on our lawn or seen him, and his crows barely carry from the coop to my room at night, which is 20 ft. away. Whatever.
So since they wouldn't agree to sign the permit (all the neighbors would have to, and they were the only ones that didn't. All the other neighbors LOVED him and the other chickens to death), we had to give him to my aunt. She's really nice about it, too, and she already has my goose from a year or two ago. Here's what she said:
1. Those neighbors are fucked up in the head.
2. Are you KIDDING me? He's really sweet.
3. He looks like he's pure Araucana.
Not sure if I believe 3 (which would be nice, since I've wanted to show him if possible), but I know she means the other 2 since she's had hundreds upon hundreds of geese, ducks, chickens, turkeys, quails, and so many other things. Sometimes even rare breeds.

*sigh*So, as you can imagine, none of us are extremely happy. In the slightest. Poor girlies are moping around :/

Also, on a happier note. My mom said she's going to think about getting me a Paypal account, which is better than I even hoped for. I just got $40 tonight for babysitting that I might be abe to put in it. If I get one XD

Aaand, hopefully tomorrow or Saturday I'm going to ask my grandmother to drive me to Michael's so I can buy the stuff for a calligraphy thing I'm going to do for my mom's (belated) birthday. Too lazy to post pics of my calligraphy, so tough noogies!
